Sunday Worship: Worship is a very important aspect of our church life. We gather each week to encounter God and fellowship with Him and each other through song, bible study, communion, and whatever else the Spirit leads us in. We offer two services each Sunday. A Traditional Service at 8:30am and a "Praise & Worship” service at 10:45am. The Lord's Supper is served each Sunday and is open to all Christians at both services. Our Worship Team is made up of an outstanding band and an awesome praise team that lead us into God’s presence each week. Circle of Prayer: We want to involve as many people as possible in our prayer ministry. Prayer requests are listed weekly in the bulletin and newsletter. Upon request, the Elder’s Prayer Chain mobilizes prayers for immediate concerns and praises. Call the church office at (405) 722-7445 with your prayer requests and they will be forwarded to the Elders. CD Ministry: For those who are unable to attend worship or just want a copy of a great service, audio CD’s of the services are available through the church office. You will also be able to download the sermon for each week to your computer on the resources page. Just click on the date and you’re off and running. Hearing Impaired: Personal receivers are available for those who have hearing difficulties. Special Services: Special services are held throughout the year on various days. Some of those include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and the Compassion Concert. Music is an important part of the worship experience at New Covenant Christian Church. Here are some ways you can be involved: Chancel Choir: The Choir sings anthems each week at the 10:30 a.m. Worship service. Choir is open to high school youth and adults. All people are welcome who have a desire to worship the Lord in singing and will commit themselves to practice on a regular basis. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. New Covenant Kids: We put on a Christmas musical each year. Traditionally the performance is the first Sunday in December. Children (1st-5th grade) participate on Sunday evenings, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Practice is held for approximately three months in the fall. Check out the Children’s Ministry page for more details! Cherubs Children’s Program: Cherubs is for children 3 years old through kindergarten. They meet for approximately six weeks during the year on Sunday evenings. Bible stories, crafts and simple choruses are experienced. The children sing during morning worship twice each session. More information is on the Children’s Ministry page.
